Adding a truck bed mat to the back of your vehicle is gonna allow you to have additional measure of protection against scratches and dents and dings, especially this guy with it being so thick. Generally speaking, if you're gonna use your truck bed as a truck bed, it's a great measure and a great way to keep things nice and secure when you're going down the road, 'cause it gives you additional traction on the bottom and keep a lot of that dirt and grime directly off the paint of your bed. Now this is gonna be an excellent way of reducing any kind of damage to our truck bed, or just makin it nice and easy for us to get up on here without scraping our hands and knees on those hard covers. You can see this is also gonna work on those spray in covers in our bare bed truck bed. So it's gonna be an excellent way of givin this a new cover or just protecting those covers we already have in. You can see here, our truck already has a spray-in liner, which definitely helps protect the truck. But what people don't think about, once you put our gear back there, or even if we get in the bed of the truck, if you've ever been in a bed that has a spray-in liner, it becomes very stiff and almost like sandpaper once it's fully cured. So if you have really sensitive material that you put in your bed, it potentially can start sliding around, end up getting scratched. more

But have you ever been inside of a bed that has a liner in it, or if you put gear back there, once that liner cures, it becomes extremely hard, it's very gritty and it's almost like sandpaper. BedRug Custom Truck Bed Mat Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
What's going on, everybody, Adam here with etrailer today, we're going to be taking a look at the bed rug, custom fit truck bed mat on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500.This bed rug is going to give you a nice flat surface and what really helps that is the foam and how they have it shaped.So it is going to sit real nicely into the ridges in the bed of the truck. So between that and the custom fit, it's really not going to move a whole lot.There is a lot of hook and loop fasteners that we get with the kit. So once you find exactly where you want it, we can go ahead and put those hook and loops down and it'll stay at nice and in place.If you have a spray in liner, they're extremely gritty, really hard on the knees, this super, super, not gritty, very comfortable, it's just like carpet, but it is going to give you a lot of the resistance that some rubber would.Just because we do have the foam and then the carpet it's going to resist all those spills and stuff. It's not going to stain or fade over time.So that's always nice. Even if you're using this to haul mulch around, really dig a flat blade shovel, and you can actually go ahead and just kind of toss everything out.It's not really going to get hooked up on the carpet. So don't be weary to buy this, if you really do use your truck for a lot of other kinds of gardening and stuff like that really don't have to worry about it.But one thing I would really add if you're going with this bed mat, might as well just get one for the tailgate.There is one on our website, or there's going to be a two piece or one piece instead of a two piece, so it'll just be one massive piece.It will kind of fill in that gap. more

Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer today, we have a 2020 Silverado 1500, and we're going to be taking a look at the Dee Zee custom fit truck bed mat.So first things first let's go ahead and figure out which side is going to go towards the cab of the truck. That's the one that we're going to put in first, and it is going to be the section that has the smallest amount of material on the one side of the wheel well space there. So I'm going to do this by myself. You guys have an extra set of hands that might work a little bit better, but it is definitely possible by yourself. Back it up, pull it up, get it working into place. We aren't really seeing the best fit just because we do have a drop-in liner as you guys see, but it still is going to get what we want. more

Now, this mat has been designed for your six and a half foot bed on your Silverado, and it's going to just cover the entire bed of your truck and help protect it from any type of dents or scratches and stuff like that.Obviously, this particular Silverado has a spray-in bed liner, but if yours doesn't, this is especially useful because it's really going to help protect it from scratches. You can kind of see on the end of the tailgate right here, this part's not covered with the liner, and you can see it's already got a ton of scratches and stuff on it. So with this bed mat, that could have easily prevented it. And obviously, with the spray-in bed liner, it'll still help with dents and other stuff like that.What's pretty cool is that this is custom fit, like I said. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the bedrug custom bed mat for our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500,Now, our truck bed mat here is going to be a custom fit for our Chevy Silverado. If we take a look around the outside parameter, we'll see it has a nice and tight fit to the edges of the bed wall. Now what I found particularly useful about this truck bed is the three quarter inch foam padding, which is really going to save our knees when we're climbing in and out of the truck bed. It's also going to help protect some more of our valuable cargo, if we have any glass that we need to haul, or any pet cages or things of that nature.So if we take a look on the underside of the bed mat here we say we have these sort of indentations that align with the channels in our truck bed. more

Today we got a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, and we're going to be doing a test fit on the Dee Zee custom-fit truck-bed mat, part number DZ87009.When you first get your Dee Zee truck-bed mat, it's going to be rolled up like this. It's going to be packaged up, wrapped up however they do in the manufacturing plant. We've gone ahead and taken all that off. But we wanted to point out real quick that when you unroll it, it is going to have a bit of warp to it because it was originally sent to you like this, and it's probably been rolled up for a good amount of time. It's going to level itself out in your truck bed, or if you want to lie it on your concrete first, the sun heats up the rubber and then it just flattens to whatever surface that it's on.Now we'll go ahead and show you how easy it is to install. This carpeted bed rug is a great feature for your truck bed. If you've got a five foot bed Colorado, it's custom fit to fit that, with the tailgate extension, so you have that extra padding on your tailgate, so it's all around your truck bed.The soft carpeted padding's gonna be soft, yet durable, so it's gonna be able to hold your fragile items or if you want to crawl up and kneel on, you can kneel on the mat and do any work you need to up in the bed of your truck. Or, if at the end of the day, after a long days work, you just want to toss your tools in the bed of the truck, it's gonna act as a great shock absorber, so it'll do a great job of protecting your truck bed for many dings, scratches, anything to that nature.Now let's go over real quick how to attach it to our truck bed. Today we've got a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, and we're going to be test fitting the Westin custom fit truck bed mat which is part number 50-6385. This mat is custom fit to fit your five foot bed of your Colorado. When you first get it, it's going to be rolled up like it is now. It's going to be wrapped up, packaged up however they do it in a manufacturing facility. While there are many rubber mats out there on the market, the big thing that sets this one apart is that it's custom fit. It drops right in, it looks like one of the best, and it's going to stay in place better than many others.As you can see, it's custom fit to the contours of your truck, so it's going to match it perfectly and fit right into place. The cutouts around your wheel wells are going to allow it lay flat and also keep it from going back and forth sliding around your truck bed.Also to help keep in place from sliding around, there's going to be bump grip feet located on the bottom. These rubber feet are going to grip tight and prevent it from slipping. This will help keep any loads that you have sat on top of it from moving around as well.The race strips that run long ways across the top of the mat will help keep your cargo from shifting around in the back of your truck while you make turning maneuvers. more

Today on this 2016 Chevrolet Colarado we're going to be test fitting the DeeZee heavyweight custom fit truck bed mat for the Colorado and Canyon with the five-foot bed, part number DeeZee 87009. Here's what this bed mat is going to look like once it's installed in the truck. As you can see, it's a very nice fit. It's going to give us really good coverage all the way around the sides of our bed. As we come up the side, you can see how it's custom fit because it goes around the edges of the bed and contours very nicely to give very complete coverage even all the way up around the wheel wells. With our tail gate closed, you can see we've got good tight clearance all the way across this very back edge. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD with a 6 1/2 foot bed, we're going to be taking a look at the DZ Heavyweight Custom Fit Truck Bed Mat. Part number DZ86973. What I like most about this mat is how well it contours the bed. It doesn't really leave anything that's on the floor of the bed uncovered. That's going to help to keep it cleaner because that way you can just take this mat out and clean it and you won't have to do nearly as much cleaning of the bed underneath of it because it's custom fit to this truck bed so it's going to contour all the lines around the edges to give you maximum coverage. As you can see, it comes to where it butts right up to the tailgate here. From the top of the mat we've got these ridges and channels that are going to help make sure that things grip and don't slide all around your truck bed but they're also going to help contain anything that may spill or collect back here but then on the underside we've got these cleats that help to grip the truckbed to make sure the the mat itself doesn't go sliding around when you're driving your truck. more

Today in our 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the DZ heavyweight custom-fit truck bed mat for a six-and-a-half foot bed, part number DAZ86973. Now you can see in our bed right now, we have no protection on the floor of our truck. We've got some scratches and things digging into the paint. And on a slick surface, the things are going to slide across and end up banging around the inside of your truck. This would be a good candidate for a bed mat. So let's go ahead and install one. I've found the easiest way is to fold it in half longways, slip it into one side, and just drop it in, and center it up. As you can see, it's going to cover the floor very nice. more

DeeZee Heavyweight Truck Bed Mat Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be doing a test fit of the DeeZee Heavyweight, Custom-Fit Truck Bed Mat for Chevys with 8' foot beds, Part Number DZ86974. There we have our truck bed mat installed. It's going to have that nice, non-slip rubber coating on it and that 3/8 thick Nyracord material that's going to make for a material that's not going to break. It's not going to fade and it's not going to corrode over time, even in extreme temperatures. It's also going to have those studs on the bottom that are going to help keep it in place. You can see with the nice custom fit cutout where it's going to go around the whole body shape on the inside of the vehicle, go around your fender wells, around the cutouts here on the back side where you have the enlarged sides of your truck. You're going to have the ridges here that are going to keep your items raised above any kind of water or anything that runs down the channels that are formed into the mat as well. Even with our vehicle that has a nice, spray-in bed liner in it, that bed liner is going to be rather slippery. You can see your stuff's going to slide around and you're going to have to secure it some way or another. more

BedRug Custom Truck Bed Mat Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today in our 2011 Chevy Silverado we are going to be test fitting the bed rug custom truck bed mat part number BMC07SBS. To install the bed mat well first need to roll it out to get it nice and flat. Next, well go ahead and flip it over on the backside and install the hook and nock fastening strips. Now well go ahead and fit it to the truck bed. After getting our mat in place, well go ahead and roll back the carpeting on the drivers side to look through the location of where our strips will meet the bed. Go ahead and clean this thoroughly. more
